Alfa Romeo win MILLE MIGLIA

Alfa Romeo was the indisputable star of the Mille Miglia 2008 historical re-enactment: after its win in 2007, this year a Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Super Sport dating from 1928 – driven by Luciano and Antonio Viaro – again won the marathon reserved for historical cars, with an Alfa 6C 1750 Gran Sport driven by the Argentine team of Fernando Sanchez Zinni and Juan Bartolomè close behind at the finish post.

Prodrive Alfa Romeo Brera S

Prodrive is in the process of developing a performance package for the Alfa Romeo Brera S, the first collaboration between the two since Prodrive campaigned a pair of factory-built Alfa 155s in the British Touring Car Championship in 1995. Based off the 2.2 JTS and 3.2 V6 models, between 250 and 300 special edition models will be released. The majority of the focus will be spent on the suspension, aero enhancements and (thankfully) some weight savings. 19-inch rollers are expected to fill the wheel wells, while a handful of driver-oriented improvements, along with some S-badging, will find its way inside. Beyond that, details are scarce, but anytime you mix one-part unobtainable Italian with another part British racing legends, good things are on the way.

Rendered Speculation: Alfa MiTo GTA

When Alfa Romeo revealed the engine line-up for the new MiTo hatchback, at the top of the list sat a turbocharged 1.8-liter four producing 230 horsepower. The notion of the punchy turbo sitting in the sumptuous little package set of a rash of speculation that the range-topper would warrant the application of Alfa's stoic GTA badge.

NEW Alfa Romeo Duetto

Take a look at this great impression of a possible return of Alfa Romeo Duetto. The original Duetto became famous with the great movie The Graduete with Dustin Hoffman. The design looks great, just like the original "Osso di seppia", a precious piece of Italian design.

Scarlett Johansson and the Alfa Romeo 8C

Add one sexy starlet of cinema and one curvy Italian sports car, mix vigorously, and you've got a recipe for the hottest combo since Tango and Cash (yeah, I said it). The duo of Scarlett Johansson and the Alfa Romeo 8C have been voted the perfect car and passenger of our dreams in a poll conducted by the car show MPH '07 and the 4Car website.

Alfa Romeo 159 MY 08 updates

Alfa Romeo is launching a slightly revised version of the 159 at last week's show in Geneva.

The updates largely mirror those of its equally gorgeous stablemates, the Brera and Spider, details of which we brought you earlier. That means an interior with revised ergonomics featuring more supportive seats, and a new sat-nav screen and climate control. By fitting lighter wheels, brake calipers and suspension components made from aluminum, Alfa has also cut about 100 unsprung pounds off the curb weight, which should improve driving dynamics.
