Mighty 159kW Mito
|
| Italian tyre giant, Marangoni, has usurped many established tuners at this year’s Essen motor show with its M430.
Based on Alfa’s entry level Mito hatch, the Ferrari monikered M430 features over elaborate scissor doors, plenty of stylised carbon-fibre surfacing - including a rear-diffuser – and two sets of dual overlapping exhausts.
The colour scheme is a classic red-to-white dual tone racing hue, with the bespoke red tyres rolling on a set of black mags.
Red tyres? Indeed. When you’re a major tyre manufacturer you can mould your own set of custom colour tyres, which considering the 159kW 1.4l turbocharged engine, should lay down a neatly contrasted track of red lines on black tarmac.
Complementing the additional power output dynamically is a 40mm suspension drop, and larger, 330mm x 26mm brake discs, clamped by 10-pot callipers, which ensure fade-free deceleration. Marangoni built the M430 as a one-off show car to wow visitors to the Essen motor show – which it sure has.
